From Vision to Reality

The “Vision CENTROPE 2015”, presented in 2006, summarises the common ideas for medium-term development and togetherness in this four-country region. This agenda for the future forms the basis of the continuously deeper co-operation in the coming years. A major step towards its concrete realisation has already been made. It was possible to establish diverse “strategic alliances” as per end-2007 — just right in time for the start of the new EU programming period. From now on, they will implement co-operation projects in diverse thematic fields and on the basis of varying partnerships. From 2008, a joint project of all partner regions and cities will form the institutional and political framework for these pilot projects.

This brochure presents these results, projects and strategies for CENTROPE and the potential of the Central European region.
