Under the heading „1918_1948_1968_2008 in architecture“ the programme asks how architecture reacts to revolutionary change in society. Excursions lead to buildings which reflect the societal changes of the years 1918, 1948 and 1968 and include newest examples from 2008.

„Is there any objective reality“ is a site-specific installation, which was developed for AIR base. Specific technologies will be used to cover all glass surfaces in the exhibition room with waterdrops and steam.

18.03. - 19.03.08: Theater Presentation: Presentation of Young Austrian Dramatists in the Slovak Republic

The plays of young Austrian dramatists will be translated into Slovak language in a translation workshop of the Art College in Bratislava and will be presented by actors.

05.12.07 – 10.02.08: Essl Award Exhibition 2007 – Essl Award for Central and East Europe. The Winners

A project realised in co-operation with the art academies of Croatia, Slovenia, the Slovak and Czech Republics and Hungary as well as bauMax and the insurance companies of Vienna Insurance Group in these countries, the Essl Award has aimed for the second time at promoting young creative talents.

08.11.07 – 04.02.08: Exhibition: Grund, Mucha, Čapek – Czech paintings from the Collection Kooperativa

The exhibition shows a representative selection from the collection of the Czech insurance company Kooperativa that provides one of the most comprehensive surveys of Czech art. Over 120 paintings and sculptures offer an interesting insight into the development of Czech painting from the eighteenth century to the 1990s.
